To help you quickly locate your previous creations or view community remakes, this guide covers the steps for Mobile, PC, and Web versions.
CapCut Online
- 1
- Browser & Cache
Ensure you are using the latest version of a mainstream browser (Chrome, Edge). Try refreshing the webpage.
- 2
- Simplify the Draft
Web-based editing relies heavily on real-time rendering.
- Recommendation: If the timeline is stuck, remove some heavy assets (like high-res PiP or complex animations) to reduce the load on your browser.
Desktop App (Windows / macOS)
- 1
- Switch Input Method/Mode
If you experience input lag (delayed typing), try switching your keyboard input method (e.g., from Sogou Pinyin to Microsoft Pinyin) or toggle between Full-width/Half-width modes. Test typing again to see if the issue resolves.
- 2
- Reduce Effects Load
If adjusting styles or dragging clips is laggy, check if your draft contains too many animations, Picture-in-Picture (PiP), or special effects.
- Recommendation: Disable or delete some effects temporarily, then try editing again.
- 3
- Hardware Acceleration
Make sure hardware acceleration is enabled in the settings (if available).
Mobile App (iOS / Android)
- 1
- Manage Project Complexity
Mobile devices have limited processing power. Lag usually occurs when the processor cannot handle real-time rendering.
- Recommendation: Turn off non-essential effects, stickers, or overlays in the timeline. Try editing the video in segments rather than loading the entire project at once.
- 2
- Clear Cache
Go to Settings > Clear Cache to free up storage space.
- 3
- Restart the App
Close the app completely and relaunch it to reset the memory usage.
